sound like I'm gonna be taking vacation and getting this done now to get that wire harness out think I would have to take apart dash board or just the center console to get to the ECU

all I been able to find about the ULEV engine is that it came with the automatic transmission reason I ask is because a couple days ago I went to look at a 2002 accord EX 5 speed the owner said he had no compression in 2 of the cylinder and he believed it was the head gasket because the car...
I was also thinking from what i read on the wikipedia from which you posted it says on there that the F23A4 came in the EX automatic so maybe that engine was not meant to be in there and that why it wont start because this car is a 5 speed..
I have a question i have been looking everywhere for an answer and hopefully you guys have one did the ULEV engine only come in the EX automatic or was it also used in the manual transmission?
I did a compression check on the engine and i dont have any compression on 2 cylinders but the engine turns fine.
also that car comes with an F23A4 would i be able to yank that out and put my F23A1 from my donor car that i have in my drive way
Would a blown head gasket prevent the car from starting up. Reason I ask is because I found a 6th gen accord for $1000 and the body is in perfect shape the owner says they told him it was a bad head gasket and that the car won't start and I would have to tow.
