Can a 1998 Accord start if you just remove immobilizer chip?
No, the other chips on the board are still going to try and utilize the immobilizer chip. You either need to have it tuned out or spoof the signal with your bypass board.- finch13

tapping after valve timing adjusted
It's not a bearing knock, it's valvetrain noise. The F23's have have an adjustable flat-tappet valvetrain system, so oil pressure is not necessary to maintain the proper valve lash. Just changes the compression ratio. The truck came with -5cc dished pistons, replacing them with 0cc flat pistons bumps the compression from 9.5 to about 10.5:1.- finch13

I guess... working with what I've got. I dropped it back down to a 5.3 build again... I lost 20hp. That's easy enough to pick up elsewhere without spending $1k to do it. Boring the block to 3.905", mill the deck and have it sonic checked afterward would be $470, pistons come in at $540. Yeah...- finch13

Brake light components
When you press the brake pedal, the switch closes and completes the circuit. Very simple. I believe they are 4-wire plugs, 2 are used for the brake light circuit and the other 2 are used for the shift interlock solenoid to allow you to shift out of park.
