I bought these two pieces new, and I'm trying to figure out how and what to remove to complete this. I've searched for a guide or walkthrough because I've read that these pieces turning sticky/tacky is common. But I've found nothing.
Any help would be appreciated. I've noted the pieces in red.
Found the pinout for LX/EX, but no dice on the DX. Picking up a junker 94-95 and starting an H22 project sounds easier since there is a plethora of information on that.
I found an ECU with ignition on fleeBay for about $150. Harness is about $75. That is definitely the easiest route. Is $225 worth easy? How much of a PITA is swapping out the ignition?
Okay, I'm coming back to the ECU. If I get an LX/EX Harness and USDM ECU, won't this swap be easy? In the grand scheme, having an ECU flashed for immobilizer isn't that big of a deal. Even some locksmiths can do it. I've looked at H22/23 and F20B swaps. They all seem much more complicated or...
You guys are totally going to laugh at me....and with just cause. It wasn't the CEL, it was the maintenance required light. Once I actually paid attention, I found the answer easily. :shakehead::henry:
Actually hadn't contemplated this. From my understanding the only difference is the the top half of the motor. But anyone else that could confirm this....
