    Spacemonkee's '00 AV6 4door (No 56K)

Thanks, Red. Always wanted a first gen. Found this one and decided to jump on the purchase because of the SR5 features which are hard to find. Power - steering, windows, mirrors and door locks along with the moon roof and sweet "off road" gauge set complete with altimeter, roll gauge and pitch...

Well kids, it sold. Got $4200 cash for it and picked up this project for $2400. Let the resto-mod begin! Love having a truck again, it just needs to stop raining so I can take the top off! Thank you for all your help and support during my time here. Wish you all the best! I'll be checking in...

What'd you do to your accord today?

They weren't dead when I put them in there! Thanks, it was sad putting the for sale on it but I am ready to move on and back into the truck world. Someone is getting a great Accord when that day comes...

    FS: Spacemonkee23's 2000 Accord V6 sedan

Hey everyone, I've decided to get back into the truck world. Never been a FWD fan plus I miss my old truck too much and camping season is fast approaching too. With the accord having a new transmission its at it's most valuable. Ive put under 1500 miles on the rebuild and it has a 2 year...

What did you do today Auto Detailing related?

Thanks. It etched in quite a bit but I was able to get rid of them by making a few extra passes with the compound. I use cheap modeling clay from an arts and craft store to clay bar and use water/baby soap solution as lubricant. Cutting and polishing I use Meguiar's Mirror Glaze-Medium...

Help: Turboing 2000 Accord V6 Sedan

I would be more worried about the trans than the engine... How about a 6 speed swap first?

What did you do today Auto Detailing related?

Yeah, its more or less the same spot on the hood before and after. Couldn't see the reflection of the individual LEDs in the overhead lights before. HUGE difference in overall appearance. Could have spent more time and effort to get some of the more serious swirls out on some areas but ran out...

What did you do today Auto Detailing related?

Sneak Peak... My pops FD hadn't been detailed in 10+ years, let alone waxed is quite some time. Granted, it sits under a car cover in the garage for a majority and is only driven from time to time. Having said that, it got hit with a sprinkler during a hot day while parked and embedded water...

    Weird idle issues

Sucks, sorry we couldn't help figure it out. Hard to diagnose over the interwebs. Good luck.

What'd you do to your accord today?

I just use goof off, wont hurt your paint and is good enough to get the residue off. There is very little residue left over after the rubber wheel process is done.

    Weird idle issues

Just to check off another possibility, next time you have the scanner plugged in, check the live data of the coolant temp sensor and the loop conditions. Sometimes if the ECT sensor goes bad it could keep the car in open loop and could cause rich parameters.

    Weird idle issues

Did you reset the ECU, clear codes and disconnect battery for a bit? the system needs to be cleared so it doesn't pick up where it left off. Edit: did you swap O2 sensors yet?

Anyone getting a lot of this lately?

Only got it once this morning. Never had it before and hasn't happened since.
