    Intermittent hunting Idle...

I dont think its a vacuum leak, its way to consistent, it will run like that forever, and then just settle down on its own. It also sounds like its totally de-fueling at 1750... I will try to clean the iacv today...

    Intermittent hunting Idle...

Every so often my 98 Accord EX 5sp will idle between 1250 and 1750 rpm. Mostly when cold, but it has done it warm. It runs fine, and it does not affect driveability, but then when your at a light, it goes right back to hunting. Any one know what it could be? Thanks. The sound didnt work...

    Clock Screwy!

The backlight is on when the car is on, not dependent on the headlights... You can get the bulbs at radio shack. They are the same for the cruise, moonroof switches too.

    Intermittent hard shift, 1-2 - 2002 I4 Accord..

I didn't replace anything. #8 remained intact and remained on the transmission for me... There is a trans filter, but you only have to split the case to get to it!

    Intermittent hard shift, 1-2 - 2002 I4 Accord..

two #4's, #10, and I dont remember if the numbers 11 and 12 had anything to clean, but I removed them all anyway to test them with 12V, and to check thier ohm rating to specs.

    Intermittent hard shift, 1-2 - 2002 I4 Accord..

Sure, look at this picture, remove the soleniods, and clean the filter and pipes with brake cleaner, allow to dry, put back together.... Remove the battery and tray first, makes a world of difference! Screen #10 was by far the worst. I will say that the filters are not the problem...

    Intermittent hard shift, 1-2 - 2002 I4 Accord..

Mine did the same thing, hard shifting when cold from 1-2, then progressed to not shifting when cold from 1-2 (limp mode). I drove like that for 5 months or so, bought a 5 spd, and then changed my mind again, decided to remove all the shift solenoids...cleaned the "pipes", and the screen below...

    I got screwed!

Well the list is getting smaller!! Frustrating to keep finding more issues, but overall progress is good, considering. Only out about $150 in parts ($88 for new o2 sensor), and have to spend about $140 more plus get a radio... I still have to address; 1. Front Motor Mount, 2. o2 bung, 3. get...

    I got screwed!

Well this morning I swapped the passenger fuse block from the V6 donor car....good news is the drivers window motor works now, and I can consistently raise/lower passenger window from the drivers side. Bad news is now the power locks are worse, it only unlocks the drivers door, no nothing when...

    I got screwed!

Thanks Hondaluver, but I was working on it all day...I updated the first post with my progress...kinda bummed that the passenger side multiplexer is different for a V6 than an I4. I pulled both sides, but can only use the driver side....Got dark out, so Im done for tonight..

    I got screwed!

I bought it as a commuter, not a show car!! I drive about 90 miles a day, and wanted the extra mpg, and sense of more power than a crap-o-matic...It runs and drives fine, just need to tidy some loose ends, and try to forget everything I learned about its past!
