Nice build. Would love to see photos and/or hear info on how you dropped the TL LSD into the 7GA 6MT trans. If I'm reading that right.

The gearbox is the TL-s (from the j35a8 2nd gen bellhousing) the newer 2nd gen bell housing was removed and a used 7ga 6mt bell housing was used to be bolted to the TL gearbox if that makes sense. It's a TL-S trans with a replaced bell housing

But also any j series lsd will work in the 7ga trans. They are all the same. You just have to know how to open the case and replace the differential

^Yea that's what I've heard, I've just never seen anyone actually do it.

I work at a body shop and we have huge discounts on lkq parts and junk yards and I managed to find the tls and 7ga transmissions for 500 a piece so I snatched them both. I do not have any pictures of the bell housing swap as I was rushing to get the car back together and I didn't take pictures or document the auto to 6 speed conversion like I am the complete restoration of the car. But the swap is pretty easy just need to reseal the cases after you pull them apart

Was really hoping you weren't running AEM. Only thing that has me nervous about my J37 stroker 6spd build is getting a CEL for CLS sensors and MDX internals not liking each other.

What kind of power are you getting? How do you like the Insane shafts?

That would be a great question for Jovani Guzman he had a j36 on an oem ecu with piggy back. But I do believe he had a lot of codes. Not sure. His j36 (which was James Halaby's old j36) made 350/360 on 93 and a mustang dyno. Mine made 360/380 on e85 and a mustang dyno. Dynojet results were a bit higher but that's expected

Well Varnell,

It should be very interesting to see what the next step up(J37) produces.

Very respectable numbers, OP, haven't spoken with Jovani in a good while, does he still have his sedan?

No sir it has been parted out about 3 years ago or maybe longer. And that engine has disappeared
