Many of yall where interested when I made my thread asking about;turning OEM high beam area into Day Running Lights/Fog lights, few weeks back,Well the task is completed and working. This mod is not for all,so please keep the negative and useless comments out.

Tools needed:
2-OEM 9006 pigtale(can purchase from TASauto.com)
2-9006 Bulbs,I used Nokya hyper yellow ones
Electrical tape,Heat shrink tubes
4-Male Butt connectors
test light
Difficulty:2-Need somewhat electrical know how.
Reasoning: Did the Morimoto H1 retrofit with full functional Bi-Xenon.So no need for OEM high beams. Cant fit fogs into my bumper due to my Intercooler.
I Converted it down to 9006 due to the brightness,so id tone it down to an average low beam for other drivers on the roads safety.

1)start by finding the bottom socket-parking light- on the headlight.(located on the bottom area of the headlight housing)

2)strip the end of the OEM 9006 wire harness and slip on some heat shrink tubes.

3)Get 2 of the Male butt connectors and crimp them onto the wires.

4)push the heat shrink tubes over the connectors and shrink, using heatgun for best results or ur average cigarette lighter.

5)wrap the wires with black wire loom and electrical tape for OEM apperance.

6)Forgot to take pictures of this step, but basically find witch slot is positive and negative on the OEM small socket mentioned in step.1

7)once you determined the correct wiring, slid the the male connectors into the slots of the plug. plug them up and look at the results!

Sweet. Thanks for the write-up. I have a quick question:

You are referring to the parking lights correct?

Thank you,Yes parking lights was the word I was looking for.haha
I lost my plug that goes into the headlight years ago,so the socket has just been dangling there for years, reason why I used it.Others may not want to.

I didnt buy them,I got them off a civic front clip from work.
But I researched them 1st reasoning I said tas.
but here;$7.50 +shipping for 9006,also have 9005 if wanted.
http://www.tasauto.com/Product/Detail.aspx?s=749102&d=865&p=3
and as for the electrical connectors;they can be bought anywhere, walmrt, oriellys ect..comes in a small box of about 10 or so.
i bought a 380peice electrical set from Harbor freight years ago that came with them.
