Re: sonni_kuba 2001 'Mugen' J32A2/6MT Accord

I helped my son install 1 very similar to the one on the first page. We put it on his 08 Civic Si. His old Si spoiler looked like it would fit on an Accord, so maybe that's what was used. My son's...

Re: New from Newburgh!

Keep in mind that the forums get busy and slow times. It's just the way it is, as some post while at work, while others post from home. Sometimes people have other things going on as well.

Re: Wheel Fitment Thread

You're getting there. Now you need the offset. It'll probably on the backside of the rim, possibly in a spoke section. What you're looking for is something like +38, or +40 for example.

Re: 4AT or 5MT

See, that's the thing, in 10 or 15 years you might be able to afford the Rolls. Also by then the M5 will need a huge infusion of money to fix, while the Acura will be similar to your current Accord...

Yup, rim widths and offsets make a big difference.

Re: 4AT or 5MT

But then you have someone like Red Ryder, who was looking for a Cadillac ATS in a certain color combo, with MT and other items on his list. Those cars aren't that common, and he searched for 6 months...

Re: 4AT or 5MT

If you have the car you want, then either buy another like it for a project, or buy your dream car and then get a project. Just don't make your project car your every day driver. You gotta have...

Re: New from Newburgh!

Welcome. The pics deal is you have to wait 7 days after you registered.

As for your wheel "gap problem", you might want to look thru the suspension forum, and or ask a question there. Some...

Re: 4AT or 5MT

You probably need to narrow that list down to something you really want. It'll make life a little simpilar when it comes time to find the 1 you want. Be honest with yourself, and get the car you...

Re: 4AT or 5MT

I think it slows them down too. I've got at least 4 projects that I need to work on, and that doesn't include either of the 6th gen Accords.
Sometimes it's more of a case of being in the right time...

Re: Help requested

I was going to say double check the grounds as well. I know the G101 on the intake needs to be attached or the engine won't run.

Re: Help requested

Can you check the CKP sensor, or even the other sensor for spark control (can't remember what it's called)? Are they both in the distributor? Or down on the by the crank? Just asking, as I don't know...

Welcome from your northern neighbor (Michigan).
The reason for the no pics is that you need to be a member for 7 days before you can post them. Sorry, not my rule, but rather the powers that be....

Re: Help requested

I only mentioned the VTEC solenoid because I've heard others have that problem when the valve goes bad, or it gets unplugged.
I think you're on target with the ICM wiring though.
If it was a 5th...

Re: F20b swap! After f23 blew up 😭

Agreed. I think I might have hit the rev limiter once. But then when you have a "high mileage" engine, you want to take care of it. I guess I'm showing my age again. ;) I've had high HP cars in my...

Re: 4AT or 5MT

Honestly, I'd keep the car AT even if the trans does take a crap. It'll be cheaper and easier in the long run to just replace it with another one (a good used JDM AT is about 600 plus shipping)....

Re: Help requested

Well, the 4K rev limit would be because the VTEC solenoid isn't operating. As far as the rest, no clue. I'm not really up on my Honda wiring stuff. But, it could be something in the distributor not...

Re: Clutch problem

OK, I just found out that the V6 (only) gets a clutch preload adjuster in it. This adjuster is set with a special tool (costs about 1000 dollars). Don't know if any of the guys doing 6 speed swaps...

Re: Life in university

Yup, just like the Sam Adams commercials, do something you love, and you won't work a day in your life. Or something like that.

A buddy of mine makes really good money (about 300 per day on...

Re: Gabcauseican 1998 Accord Sedan EX 5 Speed

I've got 3 Accords here right now. A gold 2000 Accord sedan AT that my wife drives, my 99 DEP Accord sedan 5 speed, and my old 97 Eucalyptus green 5 speed Accord sedan. Each has it's own personality...

Nice ride. I love that color (DEP), as I've got a 99 Accord Sedan LX 5 speed car myself. :)

Re: Jeremy's Accord Coupe

WOW, that green really had a ton of flake in it. Nice looking ride, and it's cool that it's a daily driver. That 3 gauge cluster looks like it was a nightmare to set up.
