Re: Caliper Bracket Bushing replacement

That's what the fronts are on mine. On the rear, Honda decided to be different. The boot is in the bushing that gets pressed into the bracket, and then slips over a lip on the guide pin, which is...

Re: Caliper Bracket Bushing replacement

No dice. Those are all just rubber boots, and there's no way to replace them on these bushings, they're permanently attached.

Re: Caliper Bracket Bushing replacement

That's the right part but none of those are the right ones for a 4-cylinder sedan. I couldn't find any aftermarket version of them, and had to pay over 50 bucks at the dealer for two sets of the...

Caliper Bracket Bushing replacement

Hey all, I'm doing brakes on a 99 Accord I4 sedan, and I can't for the life of me find replacements for the rear caliper bracket bushing/boot. The OEM caliper overhaul kit includes them but also a...

Re: Sino's 1999 Accord EX Sedan 5MT (56k)

A few notes on the task of replacing the sunroof drain tubes. It's god awful. Can't imagine any other task this car could have that is anywhere near as frustrating as that was. There's just no...

Re: Sino's 1999 Accord EX Sedan 5MT (56k)

Got the car just about all together again yesterday. Just need to wash (and look for replacements for) the center console inserts that I ruined a few years ago with too strong a cleaner; they're now...

Re: Sino's 1999 Accord EX Sedan 5MT (56k)

Finally got both new sunroof drain tubes in, now I can start putting her back together. Going to try washing the carpet in the bathtub today.

I had driven it for a bit before parking it and...

Re: Sino's 1999 Accord EX Sedan 5MT (56k)

Two years! Since I last posted, my Accord still burns oil, has had the exhaust rot apart at the cat's flange, has one re-done HID retrofit headlight, and is now severely gutted as I tried to figure...

Re: Homelink & central locking advise

Last year I replaced my garage door opener and couldn't program my Homelink transmitter for anything. Research indicated that there's a newer generation of Homelink in play, and old transmitters...

Re: Parting out 2000 honda accord coupe 4cyl Silver exterior with black interior

Edit: NVM this is a coupe, and I'm a dumbass.

Are those OEM mudguards on all 4 fenders? I'm in 02740.

Re: Can HIDs from a 2005 s500 be used for a retrofit?

In theory, if you make a hole in your headlight big enough just about any projector would fit. Retroing HIDs is more art than science.

Re: phi1542's 02 Coupe EX

Can you reuse the aluminium lock ring? I was going to order another pair when I get around to fixing mine but if you can reuse it, at least once, I'll save myself some cash.

Re: phi1542's 02 Coupe EX

I feel your pain man, I have to bake my passenger one open again, somehow I can't adjust it high enough anymore. Going to take my time and see if I can get the projector to sit farther back, it was...

Re: phi1542's 02 Coupe EX

From what I understand about manual trannies the only things you can really do to minimize wear is to ride the clutch as little as possible and to try and match RPMs when you shift gears. The latter...

Re: phi1542's 02 Coupe EX

For that scenario where you're coming on a red light and it turns green before you come to a full stop, and you're slowly rolling, I clutch down, put it in first, give it some gas and let the clutch...

Re: phi1542's 02 Coupe EX

You don't want first for anything more than crawling at a couple mph, it'll be too jarring a difference for anything faster. 2nd is generally the gear you want for that situation, just give it a bit...

Re: Valve Cover

F23 was just 98-02 Accords and 98-99 CL. Some variants of F23 in the Euro and Japanese models as well. They all look exactly the same as ours, save for black paint in some, and the CL one obviously...

Re: Valve Cover

Never found anything meant to go there. If I had to guess it's just mount/alignment points for factory processes. Maybe for breaking it in or testing it.

Re: I accidently refill 4 qrt of trans fluid in my accord 02 v6?

Considering it takes 2.6 quarts total if you're just doing a fluid change, you might want to drain a bit out.

That's a hilarious comparison. You nailed it with what you settled on though. And quality all around.

Re: Interior Redesigned/Installed two tablets/Backup Cam/GPS '02 Accord EX V6

What app are you using for the OBD info? Also what OBD dongle? I pondered installing a carputer but didn't really have the know-how or patience, so I settled for a Pioneer head unit with Android...

Re: H23A vtec swap into 02 EX MT

I'm assuming you've swapped an H22A4? If so, did you use the Accord or Prelude wire harness? Trying to figure out which way is easier for a total and legal swap.
