    The tranny is on its way out. When mine went out, my car didn't start going until it was about 4-5k rpm. Talk about a lot of wasted gas :jerkit: Luckily, I was still able to drive it a bit and not be stranded. And ^^^^ my thoughts exactly :naughtyrun:

    Power issues?!

    Makes sense.. is there something I can use (eg multimeter and what range volts?) to see if the alternator is working properly? I spoke with some guys at advanced auto parts, they said it might be the ignition or the coils, I would have to take it out for them to test it.

    Ah, had this happen to me once. I punctured with a screw driver and hit it with a hammer a few times, came right out. They have those oil filter claws, that may come in handy for future references.

    This is what I did. I believe the grill comes off after prying it after removing the screws. But if you're going to pop speakers in, you don't really need to take the grill off.
