    AU Trunk Lid

Yeah just the license plate area and I would assume the lights on the trunk lid itself would be narrower to compensate. Assuming everything else is the same measurement wise means it'd fit fine. I don't see why getting one of these would be difficult. I'd imagine the shipping would be the...

    AU Trunk Lid

So I was recently rear-ended and now need a new trunk lid. I wanted to get a hold of a trunk lid and lights from Australia for the wider look. Definitely not something you see over here in the states! I've been looking everywhere for this but can't find it. Anyone know how I could get my...

    Engine Mount Woes

Thanks for letting me know about those noises and vibrations, Chris. I won't be going with mounts that strong because I want to avoid that. My old V6 coupe had dash and console vibrations out the *** and it was the most annoying thing in the world. Trying to steer clear of that with this sedan...

    Engine Mount Woes

Thanks for those pictures Chris--I was looking for about an hour yesterday for a picture of those installed and not just a picture of them out of the box lol. Now knowing that there aren't any poly-transmission mounts for our cars, what do you think of me just filling the transmission mount...

    Engine Mount Woes

Hey all-- Got a quick question for you guys regarding engine mounts and coilovers. I replaced the factory engine mounts with OEM ones back when I first got my car about 10 months ago. (btw, 99 2.3L 5-speed LX) They were great back in the day and then they started feeling loose. I brought my...

    Need to go lower--help!

Okay so maybe I had the wrong info on the offset for the stock rims. I thought the steelies were something more like in the 20-30 range when I looked it up. In that case then the offset being an issue makes sense. What if I went for something like a 195/45-17 and had a little bit of a stretch...

    Need to go lower--help!

Well I used the offset calculator and made sure the rims didn't stick out more than stock and they really don't. It's just the tires. I'm probably just better off getting a different set and stretching. Maybe something a little more low profile? It would solve the problem of rubbing in the front...

    Need to go lower--help!

Really don't understand where the whole "not ready" and "too soon" is all about--I'm just looking to have a question answered. 1, the tire physically rubs at times in the front. 2, I'm asking because I don't want to mess anything up on the car. Obviously the fender liners and whatever else is...

    Need to go lower--help!

If I really would be able to wedge the liner into the tabs that are rolled then that would be great. I don't really see how I'd be able to do that without stretching the liner though. I just really don't want to run without the liners because of gunk getting thrown into the engine compartment...

    Need to go lower--help!

The tire does ballon out though, that's my issue. I can get the rolled that's fine I just don't want to be running in the front without liners. Where do the tabs get relocated to? Sorry it's dark and rainy here, but some photos for y'all!

    Need to go lower--help!

I'd love to know myself! The tire runs so wide that it's about 8 inches wide if I actually go and measure the width of it. I don't understand it. The tires are amazing with traction and handling, I just can't get the hight I want because of the rubbing issue. It makes no sense how 205s are...

    Need to go lower--help!

I know I'd like to avoid getting new tires but if that's what's gonna have to happen for me to have the height that I want then it might be worth it. Here's some info on the wheel: Size: 17x7 Offset: 42mm Backspacing: 5.63" Bolt Pattern: 4-114.3 Rec. Tire Size: 205/45-17 Weight: 15.0lbs. &...

    Need to go lower--help!

Hey ladies and gents-- I recently dropped my car on F2 coilovers and got myself some 17x7 wheels with 205 bf goodrich gforce tires. I just installed a yakima rack and now want to go lower to since the rack made the car look a lot higher. My problem with going lower is that the front wheels...

*UPDATE* Vlads Gold Piece of sheeeeet

Re: *UPDATE*(3/12/13).....Vlads Gold Sedan!!!!!!!!! Car's looking sick, Vlad! I'm looking at some blue/white/gray/black plaid to wrap the 6 pillars, center console, back deck & shift boot in. How many yards/feet did you end up ordering when you did your panels? I don't want to get the wrong...

    FS: Sold!

Re: XXR 962 18x8.5 +35 Gold (florida only) If you'd allow me to pay the shipping on them, I'll take them. Was just looking at your member's ride page the other day and decided to get the 962s in gold because of your setup. Any way I could get these over to NY?

You think the ride will be nice? Maybe I should invest in some Yellows instead?

    V6 struts and h techs

Hey guys, quick question How do you think Tein H Techs would ride on stock KYB GR-2s for the V6? My car is a 4cyl lx so it's a lot lighter than the car I got them for. And I figure since they don't technically hold the weight of the car that the struts would be fine. If they're a little...

    Wheels & suspension options

I've never heard of ground control sleeves before. I don't want coil overs because I'm not a fan of the ride. I don't want to do anything with camber or anything like that. Just a simple setup. I know the ride I'm trying to achieve, I just don't know how to achieve it. Just humor me with this...

    Wheels & suspension options

Hey all, With spring coming and almost everything else done on the car that I wanted to do, I want to put on some rims and change up the suspension a little. Currently, wheels and suspension are stock 15" 4x114.3 steelies with hubcaps. In the garage we have brand new Moog end links...

    Mysterious Vibration / Wobble

Okay so after three days of no car for other reasons, the axle has been replaced and the vibration is completely gone! Smooth as glass. Feels like a brand new car honestly. I'm in love!

    Mysterious Vibration / Wobble

Just ordered the part. It'll be replaced as soon as it comes in. I'll let you guys know my turn out in a few days after I get to it. I'm just going to replace the surrounding bearings and everything to, and I'm going to take a closer look at the rear mount because there's definitely too much...

    Mysterious Vibration / Wobble

Thanks guys. No possibility of it being a cv joint? Just lifted the car and put it in gear and I notice no vibration while its off the ground. Went out to inspect and I found a lot of play on the drivers side cv joint between two parts of the axels. There's also a clicking noise when letting off...

Thanks, cleansweeper. Glad someone still appreciates detail and some grammar! Every detail is important while diagnosing a car.

    Mysterious Vibration / Wobble

As a side note, overall there is a lot of play in the drive train. Which had me change the mounts, two of which were bad. Now I'm thinking it's clutch/ flywheel related since they are the original and have never been serviced.

    Mysterious Vibration / Wobble

Thanks for the quick response but yes I changed all four mounts. Did the front three myself and did the rear at a shop with the foreman. He let me do the job with him because the shop wasn't busy and wanted to be sure it was done the right way. I just didn't have the means of lifting the car at...
