    F23a1 and f23a4

You didn't have $300 for a sensor but now you're doing an engine swap and buying a $400 engine...? Why? What's wrong with the one you have now? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

    F23a1 and f23a4

The sensors are not the same. They share a plug and it'll fit, but you will get a code for the o2 sensor if you try to use the cheaper F23A1 sensor. And you will fail inspection for that code. So there's no reason to try and use it in an F23A4. The F23A4 sensor works differently from the F23A1...

    Enne's 1999 Accord LX sedan 2.3 L - Selene

Wow, have I really not updated this in a year, TO THE DAY? lmao She passed inspection this November, after replacing the upstream o2 sensor, EVAP canister vent shut and bypass valve to get rid of codes P1457 and P0420. I think I spent about $200 in parts for those. Haven't had the codes show up...

    High Mileage 6th Gens

Just had the radiator replaced and an oil change on Selene; she's at 172k now. At the current rate, about 13k miles a year just driving to work, she'd be at 200k in around two years. But it might take longer to get there now that I have the Prelude, which I drive during the summer. Only... 68...

    Enne's 1989 Honda Prelude Si 2.0 4WS

Seems like 2019 was a good year for the Prelude! Atreyu is in storage for the winter. In the spring, I'm having him fully restored with body work, paint and new pinstriping and graphics. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

    Fingerprint Start, Immobilizer Help

The easiest way would be to tape the immobilizer chip up next to the ignition so it's within proximity of the transponder. Then you wouldn't have to disable anything. But I'm sure you'd like a more permanent solution lol.

    Enne's 1989 Honda Prelude Si 2.0 4WS

Looking at importing some Prelude accessories/parts from NZ. They got JDM cars over there (no import year rule like the USA), and they aren't as rare as hen's teeth. Hopefully I can get some neat stuff.

RIP Accord. My '99 Accord is dead.

I got my Selene for free; if her transmission ever dies (doesn't give me any trouble now and I've had it for 3 years) I will replace it without hesitation. Love it too much to let it go.

    My noob status coupe =)

That is a really nice car. Personally, I'd keep it the way it is, but it's your car and your decision. Though, if you ever plan on selling it, mods aren't going to help the resale value.

    Chewwy's Winter Daily Accord Thread

No, all three engines were optional in any state. There's an F23A1, F23A4 and F23A5. I have an F23A4 and it's originally from NJ.

    Air management

Try draining the automatic transmission fluid out of it, and replacing it with 3 quarts of Honda DW-1 automatic transmission fluid. If that does not help at all, you should look into having the transmission repaired. Or if you don't think it is worth it for the price of the car (since you bought...

99 V6 won't start after new tranny installed

That seems plausible to me. When I installed a new neutral safety switch (also known as a backup light switch) in my automatic Prelude, I forgot to put it in position to match what the car's transmission was in. Car wouldn't start. I moved the lever to match the transmission and it started right...

    Multiple leaks on '99 F23A4

Okay, so small update here. I had the dizzy mount o-ring replaced, the one that you replace by just taking the dizzy off. I got an OEM part for it. That stemmed a little of the leaking, as I don't see nearly as much oil covering that space between dizzy and valve cover anymore. But, I'm still...
