    F23a swap issues

It sounds to me like the tranny you got is shot. I did the same exact swap a few years ago and my tranny still shifts smooth-ish but I credit my transmissions longevity to Honda ATF before it’s too late I would, if I was in your shoes, give it a try. But these autos are a pain in the nutsack...

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

No worries I might learn a thing or two also lol. But why does it idle high with the iacv hooked up? Is that common with 5MT swaps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

Yea I don’t hear of many cars in my area being stolen but with my luck some scumbag would try to take my baby so I think I’m gonna go the safe route but we’ll see. But man 5+ acres.. that sounds lovely lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

That’s a great point that I didn’t think of that will definitely be considered during the decision making. I just came across a thread about them and it seems reasonable for people who don’t live in high auto theft areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you tried the Doctronic “mobilizer”? I found it in another thread and it seems like a good price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Maintenance Question--- Spark plugs

Not necessarily, lol plug wires have lifetime warranty depending on brand but plugs have no warranty. So if you but the NGK wires for your F23A1 which I think are $37, you will never have to pay for another set of wires as long as you own the car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

Okay that’s great I’m gonna start looking for an ecu with a key. And I appreciate you mentioning the accord tech thing I found a diagram fir the cruise control which is the one thing I was unclear of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

I may have misconstrued what you mean. So you’re saying if I bring my new manual ECU and my current key they can make my current key start my car and make a spare? And okay thank you I’ll definitely look into that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Gas range

Okay I might have to do that this weekend because I was messing with my muffler the other day and heard some stuff clanking around in there so I’ll probably just gut my cat since Florida isn’t an emissions state. Thanks for the help man. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

Okay so it seems like the easiest way about it is to call my local dealership and ask them if they can reprogram my current key to the new manual ECU and how many arms and legs they want for it lol. I’m going to pick up a chiltons manual and get the alldatadiy so I will have all the pinouts and...

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

Will I need just the key or the ignition cylinder that matches the key? Because I know most post-1996ish keys have transponders in them which won’t let you start the car without the matching key. And these chipped ecus you speak of, are they pretty much just bypassing the immobilizer? Sent...

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

Okay well I’m trying to make this as clean as possible so I’m probably gonna try to get the assembly on and off and if that doesn’t work I have some power tools I can use to do the job. As far as cruise control goes I know my old EF that was manual swapped had a clutch switch (similar to brake...

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

Okay so you’re saying to leave my current brake and accelerator pedal and just add a clutch pedal? Because I believe the person I’m getting everything from has the whole assembly from whatever car they took it from. And okay I’ll be sure to ask if I have any more questions I appreciate all the...

    Coupe 5MT swap questions

Okay perfect. All that mechanical stuff should be easy the difficulty, I presume, lies in the wiring. Did you have to do any wiring for cruise control? I know I’ll have to do stuff for the vss and stuff like that but I haven’t read anything about the cruise control Sent from my iPhone using...

Did the plugs and plug wires around same time as the air filter which was probably six months or so ago. I haven’t looked at the rotor or housing recently but you think replacing them might help? I have a whole brand new dizzy laying around from my old motor. I don’t know about the cat but I...

    Maintenance Question--- Spark plugs

I had an intermittent misfire in the morning after I changed my valve cover gasket that I was hunting down for months. Turned out to be my old plug wires. Picked up NGK wires for LESS than the Duralast at Vatozone for my F23A. Considering the NGKs cost less than the in-house brand I wish I’d...
