Well finally had a day off. Didnt want to do much since i dont have an extra bumper to do tests on but i started cutting the top off and left alot of room for more cuting..

and yes i am debating on selling my car right now so havent spend a penny more..

started cutting off the top..(sloppy)

you get what you pay for. have to redo this whole section when fitted on.

seems workable on the coupe bumper but sedan should be better..

Picked up a sedan bumper today for 25 bucks. Been debating all week to get it or not but i made my mind up and it looks like i made the right choice. Checked fitment again and it looks better. Made some outlines on where i have to cut on the sedan bumper but didnt get to it because of damn Florida rain.

Got down to the point today.. pretty much all the trimming that needs to be done is done.(hopefully)
Put down some screws to hold in place. Just need to clean it up some other time to see where to start molding.
I can say i am surprised how they both lined up..

Well heres another update. Havent been active on the forum for almost a month because of a 6week course i am taking. Sucks cant really do much right but in a week or so alot more progress will be made as i am finishing up the course.

Sanded down where adhesive needs to go and prepped the surface for it. I have added zip ties instead of screws to hold so when i lay the adhesive down it soaks in the holes as well. Will be using Kent automotive 2 part epoxy for plastic panels.

Also have the OEM Acura A-Spec lip but i dont like that its so big. i may cut it down to a little small thing on the bottom.

Well layed down the epoxy to hold the bumper together. i can say this stuff is strong after tossing it in my yard. had to patch up a few places as the bumper was not perfect to begin with. i can say everything is going good and is holding up. Alot of sanding needs to be done and filling. I plan on using some kind of polyester filler to keep that plastic material going strong. Feel like its going slow but money is an issue. The way its looking i wont be able to get my hands on the filler for another 3 weeks.( i want the good stuff)

Some of you wondered how i was going to extend the sides. Added a piece to get epoxy.

Made sure it on the back and front for extra durability for when i take them bumps.

Test Fit... uhhh helppp... i need that middle piece changed since its a sedan bumper.. ): another thing to add to the list.

to be continued.....

had some free time today and i still have this for sale. Did alot of filling in spots and looks realy good. needs more filling of course but its getting to the end. Didnt want to use my good paint on it since it will be sanded down, so theirs where the yellow comes in just to see how it will look.

Are you keeping the upper half of the coupe bumper as seen in your Photoshops?

yes plan to just cut the tsx in the middle portion and put it on like u would do a wings west lip. but start filling in gaps and what not. from there. i lined it up and it shouldnt be alot of work but will be time consuming.

That will look awesome. I don't like the look of the larger TSX grille on our cars. Good luck! :D

Re: TSX Bumper Conversion

This will be some work indeed, but if done properly, should turn out very nice.

Hope you can make it happen.
