Hey guys. My name is Kenton and I daily drive a 1998 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L in Black Currant Pearl (aka purple). I've owned this car for around six years now.

Today two things happened.

This is the first:

The second is my passenger power window started acting up. Here's the cliffs:

- Not a problem with the switch
- Up and down are perfect, no noises, no problems
- Trying to go to 100% closed at about 95% it starts to make a horrible noise (heard in the video) and won't close.
- I can slide the glass around with my hands, left and right, up and down. I can manually finish closing it with my hands, but as soon as I open the door or close it it falls back down.

What can I do? I assume I'll need to pry off the door panel but I don't know how. Does anyone have a DIY guide for that?

Can anyone help?

The video is located: http://kenton.org/window.avi

You can see me going up and down at first to show you it's normal, then I try to close it!

Please help

yea the regulator, the gear is worn out, you can buy a new one for about $80 at the dealership and install it in about 30 mins
