So i was getting tired of my old catch can filling up every once and a while and spilling over into the engine bay, i decided to make a new one. As long as you have a welder this is pretty easy to make. The dimensions for the can are 6x4x7 and it fits right behind the windshield washer fluid. The part list is as follows:
Thin sheet metal
2 3/8 brass barbed fittings
1 drain valve
5 feet of 3/8 hose
2 small filters
Here are some pics:
Previous catch can:
The moch-up:
Test fit:
Spot welding it together:
Another engine bay shot:
More or less welded together:
Cleaning up the welds:
Inside view:
Mounting bracket welded on and one barb threaded on:
Both barbed fittings on:
Well thats all i got for now...feel free to leave questions or comments.
