looking at some rays lug nuts and i can't seem to see much difference between these 3 other than the price...

1. 35mm length, made from Duraluminum

2. Made from hardened steel

3. 42mm medium length, made from Duraluminum

1 and 3 look to be the same except for the length. Number 2 looks like the lock nut is different. Anyone know anything else?

# 1 has more color options than #3, but are made from the same material (I think). Also, Duraluminium is a type of alloy, so I am not sure how strong they are compared to the steel. But, give #1 and #3 a try though.

Construction and length appear to be the only differences between #1 and #3. Project Kics are the best out there but they are a couple hundred dollars. I would say go with #2 since they are steel, also. That's why the Muteki's were so popular, good lugs for the price but the finish didn't hold up.

I assume that duraluminum is some aluminum alloy. So it save you maybe a few ounces of unsprung weight. Woopty do. And you have to deal with the chance that it will seize or crossthread. No thanks. Go with steel.
