Been wanted to upgrade my wheel lugs for a while, and finally had the chance to get them. Wanted to get black, light-weight, spline drive, and anti-theft locks. After a lot of hair pulling for choosing between this & BBS's, this one captured the title.



In comparison with my previous lugs, these SplineDrive lugs provide more stud engagement & seating surface on a wheel, when they're mounted. (Actually, my original lugs have relatively the equivalent area of its seating surface w/ McGard's, instead of a generic socket style lugs.)




Now that I kindda want my tire valve stem sleeves & caps in black lol.






More mods will come in soon!

I had a few hot spots on my gage cluster since I changed them to LED's by PIAA High Intensity White LEDs, which I bought them in '07. They work great for interior lights, such as map, trunk cargo, and courtesy doors, including the rear license lights, but not so great for gage clusters since they create some noticeable hotspots. (Light angle not being wide enough.)



So, I began searching for the right kind that emits 'n covers the widest angles as much as possible, as if they were lighting like the OEM incandescent bulb's spectrum, but without hotspots by LEDs. I almost chose SBL's, since I've been hearing great things about their products, providing "almost" no hotspots if you choose the right kind, but they aren't making 6000K and I wanted to stick w/ PIAA's since most of my lights are from PIAA.


Then, I happened to discovered that PIAA Lapiz T10's provide 360 from bird's eye view, 300 from side view, and the color being 6000K. So, I took the bullet and bought them, praying that it will work out w/o additional hotspot removal job...

Been wanted to work on the hotspots since they were starting to irritate me, and I'm glad that I was able to get these, when I had a trip to Japan. (And they were 50% off, too. ) More or less, I'm glad that I didn't have to work with those aluminum foils to further DIY like Richard did a while back.

Had to have both of my Ingalls front upper ball joint bushings replaced, since one of them was cracked, after 3 years of use.

Replacing them with genuine OEM bushings & clips.


The top one is the damaged piece, and it got stripped when it was taken off. The bottom one was about to go as well.




once, when I was thinking about choosing the aftermarket timing belt, I remember my mechanic once told me to stick with OEM's. I got these Ingalls before I had my timing belt replaced, but as I recall his advice, this is one of the examples that not all aftermarket parts (eBay brands being out of the question) meet or exceed the OEM quality / durability, especially when it comes to rubber materials, such as belts, hoses, bushings, O-rings, packing seals, etc.

How did they replace just the ball joint? From what I’ve read people say it’s easier to just swap the whole UCA since the ball joint is integrated into it. I have changed my lower ball joints recently, but I know I need to do the uppers soon.

Black lugs look good btw!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get to see how he replaced. (Was busy posting stuff on 6GA @ the waiting lounge lol.) However, I asked him weather or not I'll need an alignment done afterwards, and he said no. It's b/c he wasn't disassembling the ball joint in order to mount the boot. It took 0.5 hr labor on each side, so I'm assuming that the process was relatively simple.

(Wish I could've done myself, but I don't trust my hands whole a lot, when it comes to mechanical work. And, I can't injure my hands for being a barista -- my biggest excuse lol.)

Thanks! It was a long debate between those two brands, but I'm very happy w/ Mcgards.

Purchased this when I traveled to Japan. SEV Center On Cruising. This was my main purchase from my trip, and it cost $350.00 USD.




This is a temporary position, since I need to figure out where my preferred location would be (locating more to the front or back).


What it does is, by simply putting on the center of a vehicle, it makes the ride quality softer & smoother.

I have Tein SA, normally damping settings being intermediate (8 out of 16 clicks) as I DD this car everyday. To me, turning all the way to the stiffest feels like riding a roller coaster, and I feel like it's too much for a DD.

Believe it or not, after this, I am able to ride the stiffest settings on both front and rear damping settings without big discomfort as l stated in the above. I do feel all of the small bumps on the road more than before, but I am really surprised that I can actually withstand the stiffest settings with this item. (For a person like me, who refers relatively a soft ride, as I chose Tein.)

Took my wife out for a drive, w/ the stiffest damping setting, but w/o mentioning her what this thing does to my car, nor my settings being all the way to the stiffest. She is an ordinary-non-car-enthusiast, meaning she has no biases toward any aftermarket automobile products, and she absolutely HATES riding my car w/ the stiffest settings, which I set them on rare occasions.

After all, I told her what I've done, and asked her how she felt. She told me that she couldn't really tell the huge change, and didn't know I was at the stiffest damping settings, which she also used to say "I cant stand it.." every time I adjusted them to the stiffest settings.

Now I can handle the stiffest damping, w/o being uncomfortable, and manage to run corners w/ even less body roll from now on.

Simply amazed by this thing.

Well, all of their products work in pretty much the same way as I've tried to explain (translate) before, w/ my not-so-great-English.

It's just too bad that these things are "superbly" popular only in Japan, and information is very limited in U.S..

I've been amazed by their products, so I first tried to open up the doorway of thesse to 6GA community, but some one tried to argue with me w/ a bit of an attitude (towards me instead of the company for some reasons lol) and messed up my mission lol.

i dont understand

Is it heavy? like maybe some weight in it that bounces to offset the car bouncing? some sort of gyro stabilizer like in a boat? This wizardry baffles me, yet i'm not doubting it.
