Quick mods question for j30a1 (new user)

Hi guys!

First of all, I'm new in this forum. I own a 1998 Accord coupe j30a1 stock internals, K&N intake. YES, after much trouble with the original transmission, I swapped it out and replaced it with a 6speed M/T from a 2007 Accord v6, so the biggest problem is gone, and it is A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Now, I've been reading some of the threads here and already know that there's not a lot to do with the j30a1.

As of January my engine was doing 193whp on a dyno run, and really my hope is to get it to 220whp or so, I'm not too ambitious with this thing.

So, anyone knows about some mods that can be done to the engine itself without the use of any forced induction? Maybe some internals and exhaust suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

98V6Accord is somewhat reliable
Re: Quick mods question for j30a1 (new user)

I have a 98 v6...

Aem v2 intake
Dc sports headers
Orthodox lightweight pulleys
Throttle body spacer
2.5 inch straight pipe (recently put 2 resonators in) to 2 flowmasters

Have an aem fuel ignition controller...

Dyno was 150 whp! Tuned with aem fic to 188.

That darn automatic tranny I tell ya.

With those mods on with the 6 speed you should reach your goal.

I don't know if any interals (cl s heads etc) would be worth the effort on the j30...

Just my opinion.
