Ok, i was driving my friend's car last night. On the way to walmart, the engine shuts off. The electrical is still working. When we stopped, car can barley turn on. It cranks, but idle is rough. I think whats wrong with the car is that the distributor is dying or map sensor. I could be wrong. Car has about 220,xxx miles on it. Fuel pump was replaced and main relay was replaced. Please help me with your suggestions. thanks.

if this is a 98-00 (distributer).. i wouldnt jump to those conclusions just yet. Pull the plugs and check them out, even if not old. usually if somethings wrong with the distributer(one of the cylinder specific nodes) a specific cylinder may not fire. Food for thought

sounds like you need to re-check that fuel pump. maybe not enough fuel going to the engine.
