Another goddamn problem with this car.
Just an FYI,
I've replaced the starter, alternator, and battery within the past 6 months.

So...for the past month or two, while driving on the interstate, my headlights will get really bright then dim, over & over again. When this happens, the battery light, break light, and door ajar lights on my dash will all light up too...in sync with the headlights.
I've never had a serious problem with it until last night,
I was going about 80mph (the problem gets worse with speed)
and my headlights got REALLY bright for like 10 seconds then went out completely and all the gauges on my dash fell, except the speedometer. But my car ran fine. It all was back to normal within 5 seconds and I drove home going 60mph without a problem...

Possible problems?

- I have an 720watt amp, maybe it isn't grounded right?

- & also, damage from sulfuric acid around where the battery goes.
but I'm not sure to what extent the area's been damaged.

Sorry I only post on here when I have problems. lmao.

first. check your grounding.

second. your battery is weak. not powerful enough to handle that 720watt amp.

lastly. stop speeding! :flipoff:

Right, check your grounds to make sure your alternator is grounded properly.

WRONG.....when your car is on, it runs on the alternator.

Your amp would not affect the car even if the ground was lose, at the most, your amp could just cut in and out.

RE-CHECK your grounds on your starter

It is quiet possible that you bought a BAD alternator. They are rebuilt, so there is a chance you have a defective rebuild. I had this happen to me twice. So go ahead and get your alternator tested.

GOOD LUCK!

Why dont you just try runing the car with out the amp connected? .. disconnect the amp and drive your car for a couple days check if it does the same if it stops atlease you know its something with you amp and the way its wired.

that has nothing to do with your audio equipment. It's not a starter problem either since you are rolling. The only time my gauges went crazy on me is when I broke my HO alternator. I would check there. Get a new Denso 80amp stock alt, they are pretty beefy for stock imo especially for 700w you plan to run.
