O.K. I have the OBX racing pulley kit sitting in my trunk. I was told that I shouldn't install a pulley kit because I have a sound system and I might damage my alternator. How true is this? If this is true, then I'll sell the pulley kit.

Here's my system specs.

- Pioneer DEH-P3600 head unit (50 watts X 4)
- 2 Pioneer TS-A1680R 6 ½ speakers in front doors (220 watts each)
- 2 Pioneer TA-A6970R 6 X 9 speakers on back panel (240 watts each)
- 1 Pioneer GM-X374 amp (400 watts, 4 channel)
- 1 Pioneer GM-5000T amp (760 watts, 2 channel)
- 2 Pioneer TS-W250R subs (500 watts each) in a box
- 1 Rockford Fosgate digital 1 farad capacitor (handles 1000 watts)

Pics of the pulleys.

yea, ive been thinking the same thing, cuz im looking into getting the UR pully set, or just the crank pulley itself. what would be the negitvies of:
1) whole pulley kit
or
2) just crank pulley

not hijacking, but i have basicly the same question, so i thought id throw it on here too.

crank pulley shouldnt matter with a system. the kit replaces the alternator and power steering pulleys with lighter weight ones and either bigger or smaller-i can't remember. anyway, they are easier for the car to turn them, so you free up more power. i had a system when i put my pulleys in, and everything was fine after till i removed it, so i say go ahead. jus my .02

ive heard that the other pulleys, like the PS and AC ones are smaller in diameter, which also makes them lighter, which is know as underdrive. idk, haha, im all confused about this sh!t, ill prolyl just get a crank pulley, haha.

They're basically the same motor. Many parts from this motor will fit on our F23s. My headers are off of a 5th gen.

They fit perfectly?
