Re: RR's 3.2L '99 EX-L Coupe 6MT *Wheel update*

Looks freaking great chris! 18x8 +30 I'm guessing?

Wait until you get those sleeves, an inch or two lower will do wonders!

Thanks man, sorry I didn’t respond to this post earlier. F 18x8 +38, R 18x8.5 +31. Wanted to go 18x9 +25 in the rear, but I would not be low enough to make it look good.

Ordering the sleeves tomorrow...

So...the Eibachs are...
237-314 lb/in
69-171 lb/in

And the GCs are...
314 to 560(10k)
171 to 450(8k)

Is that right? If so...the GCs are gonna be almost twice as stiff...?

Nopers. I’ll list them just using the highest rates for the Sportlines to avoid confusion. Only progressive springs have ranged rates, linear springs have a single rate.

Sportlines: front is 314, rear is 171
GC’s: front is 560, rear is 450

So the fronts will be 246 lb/in stiffer, rears will be 279 lbs/in stiffer. I could probably get away with 6k in the rear, but since the wheels are wider back there and I want to be able to have people ride in the back if need be or store dead bodies, I need to make sure it’s firm enough.

Thanks

The more I read up on the GC's, the more I am convinced about what settings to go with.

Appreciate the research you have done on this as well, CB.

And better view of the lip spoiler. Yeah I'm parked hard at Frisch's, what.

Those 5mm spacers in the rear made a huge difference, they're off now.

Not sure that parking in the Handicap spot is considered "hard parking".....jus' sayin'.

Everything else is pleasing to my ocular senses.

^I don't even know what it means, it just sounds like a deuchey term that would describe a deuchey action. :lawl:

Corrected.

Wow, the spacers change quite drastically.

What kind of emblem is that on your trunk?

Thanks. Yeah they made the wheels near flush, course that was at my old ride height.

Emblem is HFP. HFP wasn't really coined until the 7GA, but I figure my lip kit, and all the CL-S components throughout the car count lol.

hahaha....it is slightly hard-parked, but your deduction of the action is accurate.
