do i have to do anything to my exhaust? like lower it down or get a smaller tip?

everyones exhaust is different for the most part..I didnt have to move mine and I have a 4" tip..but it is pretty close and has already started to melt a little on the bottom from the heat..but Im turbo so I produce more heat than normal.
