Hello fellas!

Some of you know that I was having a vacation to Japan. Came back home, and still having a little bit of jet lag here. But I still have some energy, so I am going to post some pics I took during my stay, before I become lazy lol.

All of these are taken by my cell phone, so they aren't looking superb, but oh well. :p

Enjoy!

__________

I believe it's Mt Rainier, right after taking off from the Airport in Seattle.

The conveyor belt style sushi restaurant. (Everything was pretty much self-serve, even getting a glass of beer. The only time I saw the front staff was when they sat us 'n wrote us a check in the end.)

My favorite place to visit, when I visit Japan, called Autobacs. It's basically a Costco-sized Autozone, selling pretty much every after market items you can name from A to Z.

Some interesting cars I saw when I was having a walk around neighbor of my wife's family home. Also saw two CF / CH wagons near by, but I didn't take pics b/c those were just bone stock.

Was craving for some good coffee one day so I went to the café where, barista champion in '08 opened up the store. Was actually lucky enough to meet him and had a little chat. :) He didn't make these lattes, but they were pretty darn good!

A restaurant supply shop town, called "Kappabashi". You can get pretty much anything you can imagine to run a restaurant. Stores you see, on this street from here until the end of it, are all restaurant equipment suppliers!

One of the store, selling nothing but imitation display made with wax. They look soooo real, and made me so hungry lol.

A glass of draft beer. I almost bought this, thinking "What if I show this to cops, while I'm driving over here? Cheers, officer! LOL"
14
IMAG4248_zpsbfddda3f.jpg

A gigantic unicorn beetle display. Pretty sure this is the store's joke, and it's not for sale.

Japanese style dessert, served at Denny's.

Kyshu style pork-broth ramen.

Place I used to live when I was little. Changed so much over the course of 30 years.

Melon cream soda. (Every kid's favorite drink, and I had to have it! Adult's love it, too!)
19
IMAG4273_zpsafa28af3.jpg

Look how tiny that is! (The coin is a dime. And usually drip coffee served in Japan is not always free refill like any of the places in the U.S.)
20
IMAG4276_zps78303b9d.jpg

Nagasaki style crispy noodle over gravy sauce.
21
IMAG4279_zps70316391.jpg

Some popular cheap-snacks, which I used to eat when I was a child.
22
IMAG4282_zps6000c6e0.jpg

Steamed & raw whitebait, tuna, salmon roe over rice. Whitebait (baby sardine) is sooo good!

Stayed at the traditional Japanese inn w/ natural hot spring bath. (Wifey is checking out that Lambo lol.)

Broiled eel over rice. (Having this was one of the main theme of my trip to Japan. -Besides going to Autobacs-) Eels in Japan (the way its cooked as well) are absolutely incomparable to the one we can get them in the U.S. I hightly recommend you have them, when visiting Japan!

Stayed at the Hotel for two days by Disney Land & Disney Sea. This was my wife's favorite place of the plan during this vacation.

Awesome photos. I’ve always wanted to visit Japan. I’m really into the Samurai culture though, I’d love to see where some of the clans lived/trained.

I love how every snack bag has some sort of cartoon character on it lol. That mellon cream soda looks good.

I wish we had a huge auto parts store to buy parts from like that, that wasn’t full of crap. Think I said that the last time you posted about Autobacs haha.

Kind of looks like an old Ferrari 456 or 612 in the background?

Japan seems like such an awesome place. Would like to go there someday.
Yes indeed.:) You should def visit there some day. Around this time is actually the perfect season; Autumnal leaf coloration is great, and the variety of their food is always the best in fall season. People in JPN call it "appetitive of autumn".

Damn u so lucky!!!
I was, most definitely!!! Was even lucky enough to take a vacation for 2 wks!

I bet the currency rate (even if it was vs CND $) was pretty good during the early 2000s. Didn't go there this time, but Kyoto is one of my fav places to travel. You're welcome; Glad you enjoyed. :)

Thanks. If you want to, you will eventually visit there. ;) Oh, I didn't know you were into that; I'm sure there would be some places to check, and there might be several museums for that.

The packages actually have never changed since I was a kid. They even kept the same price since then, but the size became a little smaller. :(
A melon cream soda usually has a cherry on top of the vanilla ice cream tho. Maybe my father (behind that pic) already ate it before I took the pic lol.

I remember you said that last time lol. You were also asking me why I didn't get that Mugen engine oil cap. But I ended up buying it this time tho!

Keen eye, Chris. Yep, it was a Ferrari. That's why I included that in the picture. I think it was 456, since those circle tail lights are connected, and there is an air duct behind the front fender, rather than seeing it on the rear QP.

Knowing where your wife is from, I'm sure you'd get a good chance of going their again often. ;)

Lucky you, that's Japan's one of the places I want to visit.
The food portions don't seem very big, maybe I'm just too used to American meals haha

Yea, but no more long vacation for a while, at least not 'till next year haha.

You should def check out Autobacs; Every time I go there, I always feel like a kid going into Toy's 'R us for the first time lol.

Pics #25~33 were course items, so they're were indeed small. #46 was a buffet style, so we were picking up things little by little.

But you're absolutely right about the BIG proportional difference between American & Japanese meals in general. I lmao, when I first went to Claim Jumper lol. ← Well, that might be a bit too extreme as an example but..
