thanks for the info.

My front rotors are slightly warped and I was looking up new brake options just yesterday.. I really like that mini bbk thread.. Might do that unless I can find those brembo tls brakes (but thats alot of green to come off of lol)

But I've read that swaping brakes will throw off braking ballance since each setup has different pressure and can cause issues, like over/understeer when braking.. Any info on that?

Haven't heard of those issues with brake upgrades, but I am sure someone who done a BBK upgrade or some other OEM upgrade can advise.

Great post. Feel free to link to or use the info in my thread for the mini BBK for caliper/rotor combos. I think the GS's are a 41/38 piston size, but I'll have to check to make sure. I also think that the 91 NSX's are a different size from the other years, but I may be wrong on that one.

Thanks, lashlee, I have to take the time to get some more info for the thread, but will probably link different threads of swaps people have done for ease of reference.

MMMM Zombie Thread...

A bit more info fwiw. I had a leak so I figured I'd be smart and start my brake swap. I'm in the middle of swapping my 99ex sedan f23 brakes with my old 4th gen prelude v-tec brakes. So far I've learned that...

The disk diameters for both vehicles are 10.2 in the rear. The accompanying calipers and pad frames will bolt up using their hardware. The piston diameter on the prelude brakes is larger than the accord's piston. They use the same pads. On the downside, the bleeder screw is upside down, the retainer springs are different, and the e brake fittings are completely different.

It's far from perfect so, I'll be switching to a set of v6 rears in a couple of weeks.

I haven't done the fronts yet but, from what I've read they'll bolt in along with the prelude disks.

Sorry if this isn't really new information but, I got tired of reading all of the related posts the search bot spit forth.

Just out of curiosity. Has anyone here ever done a cl v6 front brakes upgrade? I am asking because I have a 92 accord that I did it to and it was EASY. But I know that the from brakes on the cl are very similar to the front brakes of the 4cyl accord except that they are about 1 inch bigger, probably thicker, and use the v6 brake pads. To me that sounds like the perfect upgrade for those who don't want to do a 5 lug conversion but want more braking power.

I think a key piece of info missing from these is whether they are direct fit (bolt on), or if a different bracket is needed. i.e. Legend calipers and maybe NSX are bolt on, but I think RL/TL Brembo's require a different or custom bracket?
