Well, it all started back at the beginning of 2014...I purchased my new "daily driver" The plans were to leave it stock and for it to serve as a functional car that I would use to drive everyday!.....yeah right.

Here is where it all started...as a 98 stock Honda Accord with a Maaco paint job (which btw did a great job at catching my eye, but the paint seriously lasted only a couple months!) Imagine that, this car lasted 16 years without any modifications AT ALL!

The first thing I did was new tinted headlights, tinted the taillights, plastidipped the grill black and plastidipped the rims and added a Type R front lip. (I'm a fan of blacking out my cars). I also changed all interior lights to LED and upgraded the radio and added a single sub for a little more bass.

I then started on the interior, added red welt trim and redone the falling headliner and door panels in suede with raised logos.

I was pretty happy with where my car was at right now, I just wanted it a little lower so I tried the coilover sleeves. I know some have luck with them and some don't, but for $50, it didn't hurt to try. Well, I didn't have any luck, they didn't lower the car by more than 1/2" and they were all the way down. Made the ride super bouncy and bumps hit hard. So I ordered lowering springs. As much as I wanted coilovers, they were a little out of my budget and plus it is my daily driver so I wouldn't be able to slam it like I wanted. The springs got me the height I wanted but to get the front a little lower, I did a mod similar to the boat mod, I just took the spacer rings off the front shocks..made it sit perfectly even. I'm happy with the ride height.

Thinking I was done for now, I just drove it to work everyday.....until....one day on the way home......i hit a fire EXTINGUISHER laying it the road. It flew up and hit my passenger front door breaking the molding and making a dent and a few scratches. And so the overhaul begins! With the insurance money (since I work at a body shop and done the body work myself), I was able to buy the paint for the entire car and a new set of rims!

I started on the car that week, fixing over 40 dents in the car and two rusted out rear fender wells, (which MAACO had filled in with BONDO!!!!!!!!!)

ALL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!
Also installed drilled and slotted rotors and new pads and Brembo caliper covers (I know they are fake but they actually look great! Beats the ugly calipers with like 10 coats of paint lol!) I also added the DIY garage door lip on the bottom of my type R lip. Also added all new gold decals, rear tow hook, and painted the emblems gold and added the fog lights.

Love the new paint! I'm a big fan of the black roof look on more than just our cars. I think they look really good no matter what car has it. Keep it up!

Nice work, I enjoyed seeing your progress. Grill looks great blacked out. I'd paint match the front lip, that with the black molding hugging the bottom would have some great contrast.

I'd lose the gold towhook (or paint it black), VTEC decal, and caliper covers but that's me. Keep up the good work!

Looks good! What springs did you go with? Drop looks amazing. The wheels are dope! Car looks great overall. But, I would have put the VTEC decal under the door molding and not on the side skirt but thats just me. Good job!

Loving the new color! It looks so mean, yet elegant w/ your gold wheels 'n red calipers as an accent. Very Nice choice.

Try to stay away from cars AMAP, when parking your baby. ;)

I went with Tein Springs. For the decals, I'm just not a fan of them being under the door molding....just looks out of place for me lol!

I approve of this car.
