I was trying to change the stereo on the car so I unplugged all the wires that are on the center dash thing. I finished installing the stereo and when I plugged up the wire with the control to turn it from ac to heater it began to smoke. the fan still blows but its hot *** air. and the light on the ac button doesn't turn on anymore. help please

So it worked before you messed with changing the stereo? Did you disconnect the battery before messing with any wiring?

Smoke came from the little knob looking thing that controls whether you want ac or the heater. And no lol battery was still connected. New stereo works fine. Just the ac that messed up

odd, pull it apart, pay attention to what screws came from where, and look for burned wires.
