Nice, tasteful upgrade

About to put a BBK and SS lines on myself. Which lines did you go with?

STi stainless, they're pink, lol..

I tried or am trying to use as many "factory" parts as I can on this car. Both stock and stock performance.

Started on the LSD project and header this weekend -

Borla Header + DEI exhaust wrap kit. I used both rolls included in the kit and the entire can of silicone spray. Soaking the wrap first really helps with getting it as tight as possible during the wrap process. Once I got it wrapped and secured with the ties provided in the kit I hurried the drying process along with a heatgun and propane torch.

No, it didn't actually catch fire. Just showing how this stuff reflects heat/flame. It was warm to the touch afterwards. Although I got it pretty hot during the curing process.

The '07 rear diff I picked up at my last job.

12k, 3.90 ratio - Researching which LSD I'm going with currently. Despite it only having 12k, once I tore it down it didn't exactly appear that way. There was rust/salt corrosion on all the bolts and in some of the gaskets around the axle cover plates.

Tear down took about 10-15min. Once I get it fully cleaned it'll be going to the powdercoater. Probably stick with gloss black, haven't really decided yet.

Pulled (rather beat) the OEM 3.90 ring gear off tonight. Ordering Carbonetic 1.5way LSD tomorrow. Just need to clearance the casing a little (minor grinding), prep it, paint it, order the correct shims for the side plates.

Pretty awesome project. I've never taken a trans apart but I like what I see.

So is the idea to basically end up with different gear ratios and an LSD?

Same gear ratio, just swapping the ring gear onto the LSD unit and drop it in once I clearance the case for it. Found out I wont get my LSD till almost Xmas b/c they had to order it in from Japan. Started polishing the diff cover over the weekend, not completely satisfied with it yet, will finish that up tonight hopefully.

Started this a few days ago. Will take a finished pic later after I clear over it to keep the polished look.
