Brand & model: TASpro Hybrid Intake
Price paid and from where: $70 from TASauto.com
Pros: Utilizes the stock airbox (which I had already modded) and adds a smooth metal pipe to enhance airflow. It sounds great and has improved my gas mileage significantly.
Cons: none that I can think of at all
Final verdict: I would HIGHLY recommend this intake to anyone in the market, it is absolutely fantastic.

Brand & model: no name generic CAI

Price paid and from where: $30 from Ebay

Pros: inexpensive, fit the car, made some additional power

Cons: rubbed the inner fender when changing gears; had to add pipe insulation to fix; no CARB sticker, and almost hydrolocked while driving in the rain.

Verdict: cheap thrills

Brand & model: AEM SRI

Price paid and from where: $165, Autopartswarehouse or Autoanything, I forget which.

Pros: CARB sticker, no worries about hydrolock, sounds better than the generic intake, makes more power even though it is an SRI.

Cons: Shiny silver finish got scratched just from rubbing on aircon hose.

Verdict: Worth the money, but watch your hose routing around it.

Brand & model: Aem CAI for the f23
Price paid and from where: 250 from ebay
Pros:CARB sticker... great sound. easy installation. no heat soak. better than the sri. noticeable vtec crossover even on the f23.
Cons: A lil more expensive for the sri
Final verdict: would derfinitely get it again.

Brand & model: AEM SRI for the h22
Price paid and from where: from a member here.
Pros: GREAT when used with h22.. great SOUND that is. great vtec crossover, very noticeable. (this is the reason why i got this sri btw, to go with my h22). cheaper than CAI. CARB sticker
Cons: can't tell how much heat soak there is... i think it's very minimal. not as good as CAI IMO performance wise (or butt dyno).
Final verdict: Performance wise.. i'd probably go with CAI. however, in terms of sound in the h22... i'd have to pick this sri over cai.

edit: I feel some heatsoak on my short ram intake now.. :(

Brand & model: good ole ebay brand. SRI
Price paid and from where: like 30 from ebay.
Pros: that great sri sound and has remained sturdy to this day.
Cons: little to no hp gain.
Final verdict: an intake really is an intake sounds good, upgrade when i have some money to play with

Brand & model: same intake but just added piping to make CAI deleted resonator.
Price paid and from where: 20ish for added parts.
Pros: that great deep tone
Cons: again probably little to no hp gain and is not the prettiest intake
Final verdict: bought ebay, turned out pretty decent, sounds great imo.

Brand & model: AEM Short Ram Intake
Price paid and from where: $160 from SummitRacing.com
Pros: Great sound, you can hear it sucking air at idle with the hood closed from 10 feet away and it screams at anything over 4k. Less low end torque loss because it's a shorter pipe. Increased throttle response. Never have to oil the filter.
Cons: The battery gets in the way of the filter a little.
Final verdict: Intakes aren't going to do much, but this one at least sounds great...

Brand: Generic ebay CAI from acekogyo
Price: 32 shipped
Pros: set as a short ram, sounded good at WOT
Cons: actually produced a music note when the engine was on (about a b flat). mounting hardware was useless and it seemed to actually attract heat- intake was hotter than the valve cover after being parked for 3 hours
Verdict: GAAAYYYYY now i need to find another intake

Brand & model: AEM V2 Cold Air Intake
Price paid and from where: $300 from TASauto
Pros: noticeable power gain, amazing sound.
Cons: chance of hydrolock, albeit minimal.
Final verdict: Now that i have owned this intake for both I4 and V6, I can definitely say it was worth the money IMO.

UPDATED 06-08-2010: The AEM V2 definitely helped the F23 breather better, as after going back to the stock airbox, the engine response is less noticeable. However, i grew tired of the noise and attention the V2 attracted, which is why I've gone back to the factory intake.
