There is a lot of information stating that you can not adjust the ignition timing on a 6th gen accord with a F23A engine (CG5). And all you can do is bolt the distributor on (with the ECU/PCM having full control of the ignition timing).

If you look an F23a distributor. It has a narrow hole and one wide hole. Presumably the wide hole allows for the distributor to be turned resulting in some adjustment of timing. (to further complicate it, other honda distributors have 3 wide holes - such as f22 5th gen cd accord)
See pic of aftermarket f23a distributor:

In addition, the 98 gen 1 odyssey (which I own) and gen 2 odysseys in Japan also have F23a engines with the same designed distributor with 2 holes. (part number for the distributor odyssey f23a distributor is hitachi: d4t96-08)

The workshop manual for the 98 Gen 1 odyssey shows that you can adjust the timing and there are marks on the crank pulley, see:

See 12deg advance mark on pulley

Does anyone have official workshop manuals for the honda CG5/6th gen f23a? Or can check the crank pulley for marks?
????

Can someone please check their CG5 workshop manual and/or check their crank pulley please.

My RA3 has markings for ignition timing.
