Need some help on climate control light bulbs

Honda accord 2001 ex v6

So, the light where the speed control is for the climate control went out. Also, the clock light went out as well.

Since, I am going to replace them I am deciding on doing an led conversion for the climate control.

I need help on knowing which leds to get. I looked at these videos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwndTdO7uyA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTsEytQIqYU

and used this site:
https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...panel-led/221/

Are all the led bulbs that I need on that specific link?

Re: Need some help on climate control light bulbs

Was there a back light for the clock in all the trim levels or just the EX? I was under the impression in my LX, that the clock just didn't light up at all, but if it does that would be cool. If so, I'd like to change the bulb out in mine as well...

And one of many threads on the clock.

Your clock lights up, just the bulb is burned out. Common issue with all of them.

The bulbs for the odo and clock were out when we bought my wife's car, and my 99 had the clock light burned out along with the cruise control light (gets a green cover). I pulled the bulbs out of my 99, and had my wife take them to the Honda dealer on her way home from work (she works across the street from the dealer).

The clock bulb is part # 35861-S84-T01. That one is easy to replace, in that you pry the bottom of the housing up and out, and you can change the bulb.

The odo bulb is part # 35505-SA5-003. This bulb is bigger than the tiny clock bulb, but smaller than a 194 found in most GM dash boards. You have to pull the cluster surround off 1st, then you can access the screws that hold the cluster in place. Then unplug the wire connectors, and then separate the back board from the cluster face. Now you can change the bulb. I've been in her dash twice now, once for the odo bulb, and once to swap the D1 bulb into the D4 position.

For the cruise, I pulled the switch out, and just swapped the old for the new bulb (easier than doing the clock, but not by much.

On Hondaaccord forums, there's a list of LED bulbs needed for the dash IF you want to swap them all. But, they're not a direct fit like the Honda bulbs, because the Honda bulbs come with their base already attached. I think we paid something like 5 bucks a piece for the bulbs, but the 1st time my wife drove her car after I replaced them, she was surprised at how much you actually used both the odo and the clock. Like you she thought the clock was only visible during the day. I think it took me about 5 minutes to change the clock bulb (taking the clock out, swapping the bulb, and re-installing the clock using genuine Honda bulbs.

One of these days I'm going to pull my climate control unit out, so I can change the bulb for the temp knob. Mines not the high end electronic unit, so that should make it go easier.

I hope this helps.
