Re: Fun weekend/daily car

Damn your parents coddle the $hit out of you man. At your age I was living on my own in an apartment, paying my own way for everything including community college. I drove beaters until the age of 33, when I picked up my 2001 Accord in 2003.

Take advice from this old man.....

Don't worry about "car status" at your age. Just drive the damn thing, don't mod it. Save your money to either pay back your parents for their extreme generosity or to buy a house...unless your parents are going to coddle you for that too.

That is why a lot of us are berating you for your attitude. You are basically griping about the vehicle part of your "free ride for everything", courtesy of your parents.

I know a forum post cannot dictate the "tone" of speech. I'm not belittling you, I am your elder trying to give you a life lesson.

The 5.0 in those is a bit anemic out of the gate, but the aftermarket support for these (the Mustang generally) is immense and can make awesome loads of power, and being as light as they are will make for a hella fun drive. The SN95 Mustangs are cool too, especially the revision 2 of the SN95 ('99-'04).
To each his own. I personally think the fox bodies were hideous and I'm glad I don't see any on the road anymore haha.

Re: Fun weekend/daily car

Well, a bump on this thread, cause I finally figured out. So, I basically narrowed down my options to:
A) Acura TLX
B) Infiniti Q60

However, I actually found great use out of my daily driver, since I am literally one of the very few people in my medical fraternity (that I got initiated recently) that drives an SUV (or CUV).
Lucky- 1999 Honda Accord LX 2.3L 4AT SSM- 120k miles
Godzilla- 2016 Nissan Rogue SL 2.5L CVT ABM- 65k miles
Lelu 2.0- 2017 Acura MDX Tech 3.5L 9AT BCP- 10k miles
