I've changed the way posts are counted. As of now, posts made in the Classifieds section are no longer counted in your posts count. With this change the total number of forums omitted from post counts now include Classifieds, Members Rides, and Shoutbox.

This is retro-active, so some of you likely have noticed your post counts have changed. The reason for the change was to curb the useless posting in these areas by people hoping to reach 50 posts to meet the FS rules. These areas of 6GA are too easy to spam in with simple responses like "nice" or "glws" or something equally vague that adds nothing to the discussion. The point of the FS rules is to make sure members contribute to 6GA's community before posting items for sale, and these types of responses circumvent that.

good idea coming up with this. this limits some of the available variables open for new comers to hope to make a quick sell, and in some instances prey on people with a price too good to be true and make a quick buck. imo, this also gives the buyer some protection in a sense. win win situation for the community.

^ +1 . also, if someone tries to post a FS thread under 50 posts are they denied or is it just a red flag that comes up? because people do it anyways. this is a good start though for "users" instead of "members" trying to sell their crap.

If there was a way to automatically block FS threads that members with less than 50 posts try to create, that would be nice.

Great idea, although a minor setback for my post count, I am not worried.

Let the games begin!

this is also something to think about so when we tell them there not allowed to sell stuff because of there post count it doesnt cause un needed arguments......
