Rear bumper cover problems

Hi, I've got an '01 sedan. The previous owner was in a small accident in the rear and the bumper cover was replaced with a suspected non OEM unit. Now it sticks out a bit and the panel gap is terrible.

I replaced the clips that attatch it to the body, but it only made it worse:banghead:

Any help would be appreciated.

aftermarket bumpers always fit like ****. OE junkyard is the way to go

Yeah the non oem probably won't ever fit like an oem bumper as hard as you try to modify it. I agree, local junkyard will be your best bet.

Hey how has this worked out for you? We have the exact same car same color and everything. And if I’m not mistaken, you have the V6 model too? Anyways I was in a low speed bumper tap and ever since that my rear bumper has poked out on the sides a little. (EXACTLY like the pics you posted). So yeah, I’m looking to fix this minor issue and I’d like to know how it all worked for you.
