I just bought the red stain glass stray paint and painted over my taillights, the part if the reverse light and the signal. i can see small bubbles. Hoe can i get rid of those? wet sand then clear coat? or clear then wet sand? and How many grit?

Re: All RED Taillights

Wet sand 2000 over errors if that doesn't fix it then sand down with 1500-2000, plastic polish the service, clean off polish, spray again, don't sand after final coat of spray paint unless absolutely necessary . Also It's not going to be perfect Remember that.

Good luck

Re: All RED Taillights

I spray paint my reverse and signal turn light with RED Stained glass spray paint from Krylon. it was $9.99 a can a Michael's but had a 40% off coupon :D. I painted the first coat yesterday. Wet sanded it just now with 1000 grit then lightly sprayed a second coat. Im waiting for it to dry so i can paint clear coat on it.

Should I wet sand (what grit, 1000 ok?) b4 putting clear coat on it?? And What clear coat brand/type should I use? AND how should I spray the clear coat on?? THICK layers? Multiple thin layers? Am i missing any steps before i should spray clear coat on? Thanks in advance guys. :)

Looks darker in pictures cause it was takin from my iphone.

Interested in how this will look.

its looks good just need the gloss/shiny look. looks better than the OEM dull brownish color

damn i went to advance auto parts and saw that there is a VHT red nite-shades spray tint. lol i wonder if it would hav been better with that
