Okay this is the end all movie recomendation thread.

This thread is focusing on movies that arent summer blockbusters or classics(ie dont list scarface)
Preferably some cult classics or movies that were really good but most people havent seen. List a short summary of the movie and genre...BTW list if it has subtitles some people on this forum are too lazy to read

Shinobi(2005)
Action, Drama


Xmen +Romeo & Juliet + Martial arts. Really great movie some intersting subtitles and very unique fight scenes

Shooter - Great movie, not sure if it was a blockbuster or not

Pool Hall Junkies - Another great movie, you don't have to be into pool to like this one.

Pan's Labyrinth - Subtitiled but still a very, very well done film. One of my favorites this year.

The Fountain - There was a little buz about it, but it wasn't a box office monster or anything. Good movie, really different.

Shaolin Soccer - Very funny movie mixing martial arts and sports.
Sports, Martial Arts, Action

Master of the Flying Guillotine - Old school martial arts film, gruesome, ahead of it's time.

Curse of the Golden Flower - Chow Yung Fat movie, great movie, beautiful sets and very colorful.

My Name is Nobody (1974) - Henry Fonda, Comedy style Western. Still a good movie and pretty funny.

The Protector - Pretty much a sequal to Onk Bak which is arguably one of the best action martial arts films of all time.

Crank - Awesome movie, great plot. Has the dude from Transporter in it.

Blazing Saddles (1974) - Mel Brooks film. Comedy style western. Good film.

History of the World (Both parts) - Another Mel Brooks film. Hilarious spin on world history.

The Four Rooms - Quentin Tarantino - comedy

Boondock Saints - overall badass movie (I don't think it was mainstream - I didn't see it till I got to college and somebody had it & made me watch it)

Green Street Hooligans- Great movie about Great Britain's football firms
Elijah Wood does a remarkable job, I highly recommend it
