As most of you know, I did an auto to manual swap. Replacing the head gasket and cleaning the bay a bit, something got disconnected and now the car has reverse lights on when the ignition is turned on. Also, when try to reverse, the car shuts off.
Urgent help is needed because i need to take it out of the shop before snow hits again.
Thanks guys :)

You must've crossed something. There are only two connectors on the tranny they can't be easily confused either. Check the old gear position switch plug for shorts or wrong connections (the big gray one). That's really the only thing I can think might go wrong here the ecm and the tranny don't talk to each other.

how does it die when its in reverse?

like when you put it into reverse or when you release the clutch?

did you wire the reverse like it says in the diy?

do you have an onboard voltmeter?

At release of the clutch the car shuts of. Its fine moving forward but reverse...Turning the ignition switch on, the reverse lights turn on as well. I am not sure how it was initially wired since its been a while.
and yes i do have a voltmeter.

LS1 swap and rwd convert. Problem solved!
