I know everyone has the problem of having the center console get all sticky and gross. Has anyone found out how to clean this or remedy this? Why does this even happen? I tried using soap and degreaser and it doesn't really do anything. So does anyone have a resolution for the sticky console.

I think he means inside the cup holder itself.

How's about...pull it out and clean it every once in awhile?

I usually just pull it and wash the whole thing in the sink.

I thought that we came to the conclusion before that there is nothing that we can do to prevent the inevitable sticky cup holders.

All we can do is just keep cleaning them............

ok here's what you do.
1. take the console out
2. wipe it down with alcohol
3. sand it down till all the sticky stuff comes of
4. get a can of dupilcolor vinyl and fabric paint from auto store and spray it

what it looks like:

I pull my cupholders out every now and then and just spray water in and let it soak in for a bit. Then it cleans up much easier.
