It was such a nice season to stay there. Cherry blossom were literally everywhere. Here are some pics!

Taken in Tokyo & at the base of the Tokyo Skytree, which was built in May 2012.

Staying at Atagawa hot spring town (1hr train ride east from Tokyo)

Visiting Kyoto, pics taken at one of the most famous shrine called, Kiyomizu Shrine. Lots of foreign visitors are in Kyoto. While we were riding a bus, we heard nothing but foreign language lol.

While walking back from the Shrine, I saw this modded "Taxi", which was Toyota Crown Athelete. Hard to see, but there is a reflection of the taxi sign on the roof.

Another interesting taxi. Very classic.

Staying at the city of Osaka (40 min. train ride from Kyoto)
Universal Studio Japan. I went to the one in LA 15 years ago, so it was fun!

Spiderman Bun lol.

I can't believe that T2 is 20+ year-old-movie. Time flies!!

Japanese style BBQ FTW!

Two symbolic signs in Osaka

Osaka's famous food, "Octopus Dumplings"!

Staying in Fukuoka (2hr train ride from Osaka), which is the most southwesterly of its four main islands of Japan.

One of the most unique yet good ramen place. Their counter bar is very special. It's partitioned indiviidually, and the front is curtained. When you have a seat, you will not face their staff, or ppl sitting next to you. The purpose is to "concentrate on the taste of their ramen" lol. People line up to get into this store.

Fukuoka regional style, pork broth (white soup) ramen.

IMAG2417_zps13b43018.jpg

Staying at Beppu city in Ohita prefecture (2hr train ride from Fukuoka). Visiting "The Hell of Blood Pond Hot Spring", and "The Hell of the Tornado Geyser". Both of these are observatory.

From the lobby of the hotel we were staying.

Business class seat FTW!

I also went to a store that sells nothing but aftermarket auto parts. Feel free to visit my other thread: A huge aftermarket auto parts store in Japan: Autobacs

Thanks for looking!! :peace:

Beautiful, really would love to visit there someday. Love all the scenery in those shots. Did hotel personnel speak English?

Since you hate cold weather, visiting in summer time is also fun. If you were to stay in major subarb areas in Tokyo, I'm sure most of the hotel reception staff will speak English. If that's your biggest concern, a city called "Roppongi" would be an ideal place of stay for you. Many foreigners prefer staying there.

Yep... what a naming eh.

Yes indeed, I traveled quite a distance. The reason why I could do this was b/c I purchased a "rail pass". Only foreigners and Japanese ppl who lives outside of Japan can get this pass, and it has an amazing deal! Normally, going to Osaka from Tokyo by train would cost you about a little less than $300. Now, this one-week-pass I had was about the same price of that, and you can go pretty much ANYWHERE in Japan w/ this.

Keen eye, Alex. It turned out that the taxi was an owner-driven taxi. No wonder why it was modded.

Haha, I ate a lot out there, and also gained some extra weight. Time for me to cut down lol.

Yes, that pic was on the way back from the (one of the most famous) shrine. These ppl were all visitors of Kyoto along w/ many forein travelers.

I've always wanted to go. Of course, I don't know if I could control myself over there. I'd end up coming back with a R34, or a CB110 skyline
