Hey
I'm gathering everything for a 6 speed j32 swap. I got an automatic j32a2 engine for $300.
Can someone tell me the differences between the two?
I've heard the grind on the cam is slightly different and a couple of sensors, cam gears etc.

I'm sure its been answered. Sorry for these duplicate threads.

To use the manual engine, if you don't find a dropout, you need the sensors, ECU, harnesses, etc. If you use the auto, the easiest route is RichieV6's module. Also the auto had VSA, manual engine did not.

Engine internals are the same iirc.

Thank you very much.

To get the most out of it, I was thinking of porting and polishing heads and runners. Larger throttle body. Upgrade valve train.

Plan is to have it turboed 8-12 psi

People are telling me to leave the bottom end alone and just work up top.

Should that work be enough?

I'd say so. But read up on Tek Rice's J36 build, and some of the others both here and on V6P. And definitly look at MoneyPit's build thread, he is the only turbo J on here/V6P that I know.

I think Tom(ComptechV6) is doing a turbo build on V6P, but MoneyPit would be your best reference since his has been up and running for quite some time.

Also, read up on the RV6 harness as well, especially on V6P.

J32a.com is also a helpful Forum for information on boosted applications.

Alright thanks everyone.

Where do I get a hold of the Ritchie harness?
