Ok guys,I swapped my transmission,kind of taking my time since its not my daily.Everything is bolted up but I am confused on where to set the shifter link on the tranny for the cable reinstall.
Re-installing shift cable help. (diagram inside)

Haynes manual says shift into reverse when removing. But i dont know what reverse is on the lever on the tranny side.

Well if it was like my saturn, You just put it where you can. It SHOULD pull the interior shifter into position while you pop it down on the ball. If you aren't sure where R is, place the shifter in R and move the links to match the cable.
