Brake lights not "engaging"

For those with Ebay brand red/clear tail lights, make sure you have this piece to your harness in your tail lights. If not take it from your OEM tail lights and use it in your new ones.

This was the piece that im assuming has to do with engaging your brake lights. I plugged it into my harness and pressed on my brakes and everything is back and working like it should.

yes, you do need that for your brake lights to work. if you didnt have that in there before, then thats what your problems was.​

well, if you change your tail lights, youre supposed to swap that part over as well. back in my ricer days with my old 6g, i made the same mistake haha...sooo, not ebays fault :p
