I got another project goin on behind the scenes.

It's a white 1987 Golf, AT with 93k original miles on it. Drop coming ASAP.

Next, I plan to shave off and fill in all the holes from the side moldings, and rear emblems. Also, roll and pull the fenders..

Mint interior, no underside rust at all. Everything in the car works.

Had huge issues with both the in tank fuel pump, and the fuel pump inside the fuel accumulator. Needed to get new units. After that, she breathed life.

Just gone done washing 12 year old grime off the car and windows, and Seafoamed the s**t out of it. Runs like a clock! First time fired up in 12 years..

Believe it or not, the only two dents on the car, are the ones seen in this picture ^. The rest of it is immaculate.

Very nice, should be a fun project. I like gti's a lot. I was just on craigslist looking for one for a future project as well.

Thanks guys. Yeah I got future plans for it... Thinking of VR6 Swap!

It's a Golf GL though, not a GTI. It is Pure vintage!

It looks like it was in an old barn, but that is actually our garage. We can fit 4 cars in it and pull mad engines. The Golf fit sideways to clear that staircase lol.

Yeah they are light and can be quick! This classic only has the 8V engine though, little putt-putt.

Oops, I thought it was a gti. Can you put a vr6 in there? Those engines are awesome, the sound that it puts out is amazing as well.

Ya the VR6 swap is definitely doable, and has been done many times before in the past. The more I work with older Vdubs, the more I see how simple and genius German engineering is! :driving:
