Subarus in general are very reliable, some engine issues with 08 and 09. As long as u dont mod the hell out of it, i dont see why it wouldnt be just as reliable as a honda.

The 08 and 09s I heard had spun bearing issues. The ones that were built before or during summer of 08. Mine was assembled in early 2010.. Also I heard the trannies were having problems in the 08s. I believe they fixed it by 09. The 2011s comes with widebody flares stock, quad exhaust tips, newer grill and wider wheels/tires.

There's a few people with 2010s and they say their tranny gave up already before 8k miles. I'm at 8500, knock on wood :)

As far as reliability, half of the people on nasioc say the WRX tranny is pretty solid as long as you don't race everyday or mod the heck out of it without the right ECU settings, the other half say it's complete junk and to save up for an STI.

If you're interested in getting a 3rd gen WRX/STI, just make sure you check on the assembly date

same turbo as the STi, just diff suspension, I'd take it anyday...the difference in price between the WRX amd STi can buy you a set of coils and some cash still in your pocket.

true but, the STi suspension just can't be reproduced without heavy modification which will cost you money and time. STi all the way...if you have money.

Ryder, eyyyy budday. Wheels are 17x8, 38 offset. Tires are meaty, someone on Nasioc asked about my suspension specs lol. 225/50 They're BBS reps, and got them for basically free from my 02 wrx buddy who owed me $600

Thanks syk, hope you get one dtrail! Very happy with the car, not so much on mpg though.
