Output was 210 hp (157 kW) for the J35A1; 240 hp (179 kW) and 253 lb·ft (343 N·m) (5800/4400 rpm) for the J35A3; 240 hp (179 kW) and 242 lb·ft (328 N·m) (5500/4500 rpm) for the J35A4.

The J35A5 used in the 2004 - 2006 Acura MDX produces 265 hp (198 kW) at 5800 rpm and 250 lb·ft (340 N·m) at 3500 rpm. The 2003 version of this engine produces 260 hp (194 kW) at 5750 rpm.

The new J35 used in the Acura RL produces 290 hp (220 kW) at 6200 rpm and 256 lb·ft (347 N·m) at 5000 rpm. This engine was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list for 2005, 2008 and 2009.

The J35A8 used in the 2007-2008 Acura TL Type-S produces 286 horse power (213 kW) and 256 lb•ft (347 N•m). of torque.

The J35A9 used in the 2006 - 2008 Honda Ridgeline produces 247 hp (184 kW) at 5750 rpm and 245 lb·ft (332 N·m) at 4500 rpm.

The J35A3 was also used by General Motors in the 2004-2007 Saturn Vue, though it utilized the cast-iron crankshaft from the J35A4 rather than the forged-steel version of the J35A3. GM refers to it as the L66. Honda Marine uses this engine for their 200 and 225 HP outboard engines.

I'm back. The j35a4 which I have came from a 2004 Odyssey.

How much power do you think I'll be pushing with my j? I have full bolt ons (aem Sri, obx headers, p2r gaskets, p2r throttle body spacer, j32a2 throttle body, j37 Tl sh-awd manifold, custom 2.5" cat back single exit, magnaflow hi flow cat). I also am doing all of my 100 mile maintenance so a full tune/tune up. I'm hoping for over 270 to the wheels.

I think I was reading a thread on v6p, that someone was getting about 300hp, I just don't remember if that was to the wheels or not.

I think it's possible with the right amount of bolt-ons/tuning, so whether it's 270 or more, still a great gain for the build.

I am actually curious, with your build specifically, compared to what I plan to do, to see how the numbers will match up.

I get my manifold on thursday and my innovative mounts on Friday. This damn vacation made me forget what I needed to buy. I need clutch lines a and b, and a master cylinder I believe. That should be it.

Question for tek_rice, Chris, Matt, any other 6spd swappers: can I use a master cylinder from a 4cyl accord? And I've heard different things for if the holes are already there or are they aren't? And I'm unsure of this section? Which of these do I need? Remember I'm not a mechanic and I'm not doing the swap I just need to buy all the parts haha so no flaming.

I would recommend using the master cylinder from the CL-S or 7GA 6MT's, Paul once told me he believed the 6GA MC didn't move the optimal amount of clutch fluid. But yes it will work, people have used it.

You need to drill the holes to mount the MC, that's one of the custom stages of the swap. Some cars have an area sort of outlined in the firewall for it, others don't...it remains a mystery to this day. My car had it.

The stay for the change wire (aka shifter cables) is a metal bracket that mounts to the tranny. That's what I said earlier in your thread, that if you bought the shifter cables brand new, that they should already have the stay on them.

I've never seen RSX parts on a 6GA 6spd swap list...

What about the civic master cylinder? Mikeymike used a 93 civic si one.
