Hey guys,

So I have a black 2000 Accord Ex v6 Sedan with a beige leather interior.. The interior i have is ugly and ruddy and damaged. I have purchased custom fit black seat covers for the car and I plan on blacking out all the interior leather (door panels, dash.etc) and touching up all the plastic parts with a grey paint to give it a nice little subtle contrast...

I need advice from anyone who has experience with this..I know lots of these cars came with vinyl/plastic interior but i'm stuck with the leather.

Hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction for
1) Paint
2) Supplies I need
3) Prepping the surface

Thanks all

The way I feel, painting is out. Maybe I'm wrong, but in my experience, all you'll ever see is paint flakes.

So either be happy with gray (I assume) or swap parts from the junkyards.

You can either go for whole parts (door panels, etc...) or inserts.

Look into a company called SEM
I used landau black From SEM its a beautiful OEM look.
As with anything being painted PREP CORRECTLY.
SEM also sells leather prep cleaner.
PLEASE remember to prep, if not your going to get flakes like XCI said.

This is how mine came out, I did get a crack in the paint where the handle goes. If you saw what i put that area thru, You would believe how good this paint is.
With paint and leather (That's real perforated leather) It ran me about 55-60 each. Let me know if you're interested and shoot me a price in PM. I don't need these anymore I have new door panels I'm working on.
