look what the fedex guy brought me today =]
should have some time tomorrow to get some more pictures of the other parts that I already have. Come this weekend I should have everything I need short of random nuts and bolts and little things that I'm probably forgetting.
UPS just paid me a visit
Hondata s300, Hondata 4bar mar sensor, obd1 conversion harness, hondata PWM boost solenoid, walbro 255, Innovative LC-1 and DB red gauge wideband
DSM 450cc injectors, blitz bov, godspeed cast iron manifold and t3/t4 to TD05h adapter.
obd1 resistor block, and 2 wire IAC
autometer phantom boost gauge
OBX intercooler, yeah not the best quality but its the only kit I could find that actually had piping made for our car. Plus I don't have $400 to spend on just an intercooler.
rod bearings, head gasket, and complete seals and gasket set for the head and valve cover.
oil psi gauge to match the boost gauge and a sweet purple catch can.
UPDATE 11/28/10!!!!!
Just got the block back from inline pro. had it bored and honed to fit my new 86.5mm CP pistons. Also the new turbo and ARP headstuds were waiting for me when I got here to my parents house for thanksgiving.
Build starts monday, hopefully I'll get the head cleaned really well and get all the new seals in. Also have to figure out what main bearings to order and order my timing belt and balancer shaft belt real soon so I can have the engine together by like next week at the latest. I should have a lift late monday if we have enough shop time since my friends RB25 is just about done being put back together. So the motor should be out later in the week. I'll keep you all updated and try to bring my camera in and take some pictures every once in a while but I don't really wanna be waving around a nice DLSR around a bunch of people I most likely can't trust lol.

bottom end together.
right after cleaning and replacing all the seals in the head.
lookin all lonely sittin with a bunch of diesels while I worked on her in the light-duty diesel shop.
re-wrapped the engine wire harness in new electrical tape cause it was a **** ton easier then trying to clean the hole thing.
closer look at the harness

so since the car had to be out of the shop on the last day of my high performance class I had her tow'd to my recently rented storage unit.
this is her new home for the next few weeks while the build is being finished, once I finish everything up I'll either be towing the car back to the school or just loading up a basemap and driving it back keeping her out of boost since the school is only like a 3 minute drive from my storage unit.

Here's a few pic's of my progress and my little make shift shop thats powered by a little $200 generator
Ignore my one white piston, apprently when oil is really really cold and you rub it in thats what it looks like......
update 02-7-11
So after some thought we decided the best approch to putting all the tensioners on and the belts and what not was to pull the engine back out so theres no suspension and tire in the way. Here's the results after a long weekend of work.
**** the super bowl we got better things to do!
As of now the head is on and torqued, with my dowels pins from the other engine in place. The intake manifold needs two bolts (for the IAC) before its done, the turbo manifold and adapter need one more bolt to bolt the turbo completely up to it. Gotta find bolts that fit the turbo for the downpipe and also make an elbow tube that bolts to the compressor outlet to go to the charge piping. The engine is completely in time...I hope lol seemed pretty straight forward about lining everything up though and it turned over fine afterwords. Today we're going to adjust the valves and turn it over again and make sure everything is in fact where its supposed to be. then we'll torque the crankshaft pulley bolt and its ready for the engine bay once again. Should only be a few weeks now if we can figure out how to do the stuff we've never done like hooking up the fuel pressure regulator and figuring out the issue with the injector fitting the manifold.
here's some picures of the engine thats now ready to go in. only thing left to do is tune the center part of the turbo so that the oil drain is at the bottom and then cut the push-lock line to the proper length.

update 03-7-11
after a long weekend of work the car is about ready to start.
some other little cosmetic upgrades
Just gotta wire injectors and the IAC and switch over all the old vaccuum and coolant lines from the old engine(replacing the ****ty ones of course)
upload the basemap, calibrate the wideband and wait for the fuel pressure regulator and crank pully tool. Then I'm spark plugs and fluids away from starting the car. Hopefully expect a start-up video before friday.
some good info about running DSM injectors on our cars.
turbo exhaust fabrication
update 03-21-11
Big news, the car is officially running. has a few small leaks we gotta fix and still have to run the intercooler piping but she runs smooth, Idle's a little high cause of a vacuum leak but still smooth and consistent. More updates to come as the car should be dyno tuned by this weekend if all goes according to plan.
heres some pics but no video's cause I gotta be up in 4 hours to go to honda and get some gaskets so you guys gotta wait to see them
