Levin,

I am actually hoping to avoid taking it to a shop. Altech Performance is one of the options, but I may be able to get it done as a DIY(with friends).

I know it's expensive and that sucks, but you should go with the AEM EMS series-2 if you can Derek. Especially with your plans in the long run, you won't regret it a single step of the way. Yeah FIC may do the job, but with a standalone you will have no more room for upgrades as far as that is concerned - you'll be set for life. Also must mention the ease of having everything at your fingertips with the EMS - always.

Appreciate the input Nikita, I do want to get the most out of the setup, and I have considered getting a S/C for it as well, but not sure that I would do that.

So, based on what you're saying, the EMS would be the better option if I decide to get a S/C in the future and the FIC is better for a N/A setup?

The EMS would be the best for all routes you choose to take period. The FIC would work fine on NA, and it would work poorly for S/C, compared to the EMS.

It seems so Nikita, the only thing is, I can't run the EMS with an auto setup.

So, for now, I have no choice but to go with the FIC.

Can anyone tell me which AEM FIC I should get for my swap?

Is it based on the engine or the ECU being used?
