Find a NPT plug such as this: http://www.amazon.com/Earls-Anodized-Aluminum-Internal-Wrenching/dp/B000CN5HWG
Don't know what size, but something like that will do. Thread the head deep enough, and you won't even have the grind it flush either.

Some locktite should do the trick, or possible some Teflon tape. Make sure who ever is doing the tapping does it correctly. You don't want the plug too loose or too tight in there.
